The group, ‘Knot Events’, focus on encouraging teamwork, community action and ultimately charity endeavours across Staffordshire. The Knot Events teams’ mission is to unite individuals and organisations across Staffordshire through entertaining, diverse and inclusive experiences to raise donations for local charities.
Knot Events will be hosting another ‘Knot a Sports Day’ in 2025, following on from the fantastic success of 2024’s inaugural event.
Having raised £13,000 for good causes and having welcomed 31 teams last year, they have set themselves a new goal to raise even more in 2025 for local charities.

Take a trip down memory lane as we put a playful twist on the traditional sports day format, all in the spirit of giving back to our community.
Held at Staffordshire University, we’re calling businesses across the county to create teams of 4 – 8 participants and join us for a day filled with fun activities.
No matter your age, ability or gender, there’s an event for everyone.

Supported Charities
Last year’s event was an incredible success, bringing together an amazing community of participants and raising significant funds for our 10 local charities. We’re thrilled to build on that momentum in 2025, with an ambitious target to raise £50,000. This year, we’re aiming to bring together up to 50 teams, and after the great response from 2024, we’re confident we can surpass that goal.
