The fundraiser saw 35 teams compete to be crowned winner in Staffordshire business community’s adult sports day.

210 people gathered on 27th of June to race relays, beat the competition at egg and spoon contests, sprint through inflatable assault courses, battle it out at dodgeball and much more.

Premier Placement Services’ team, the Recruitment Rock Stars, won the day and took home the highly coveted first place position along with their bespoke trophy.

Funds raised will be split between 10 local charities including, Affordable Food Stoke, The Hubb Foundation, The Gingerbread Centre and Alice Charity.

Josie Morris, managing director of Woolcool, and one of the event’s organisers, said: “£10,000 is a fantastic amount to have raised for our incredible local charities, all of which will now receive just over £1k each.

“Knot a Sports Day is proving to be a fantastic and successful event that brings businesses together to raise much needed funds for local causes.

“We want to thank all the participants, sponsors and volunteers who worked so hard to make it happen and we look forward to the next fundraiser – Strictly Knot Dancing.”
